Just walking around the neighborhood it is packed with adults in costumes on the street and there was a big dance party in a nearby park with fireworks, music and everyone in costume. Saw someone drive a hearse down the street that was all lit up in the back with skeletons inside. Surprisingly good given the circumstances. Still loads of fireworks going off outside.

We gave the kids extendable butterfly nets to keep distance for houses handing out by hand...people seemed to get a kick out of that.
We got 12 in my cul de sac in Scenic Acres. About half of what we normally would get.

Set up a table with treats, a portable fire pit and a bunch of Halloween decorations and lights. Had about 60 kids, which is maybe 20-30 less than usual. Fun night, beautiful weather, and great to see kids out having fun.

Whomever was latest received some sparkling waters, as we ran out of good stuff around 8. Overall really nice to see kids still out and having a good time.

Next year, hopefully, have a good bash.

We had our “bubble” over for dinner. Ate ribs, got drunk. Great Halloweeen.

Sadly, not our experience. Put a bowl with 140 candies out at 6. Went to check on it at 7, and the bowl was lying on the ground with 7 or 8 candies left. Judging by the number of times our dog barked, we had maybe 5 or 6 groups in that hour.

Last year we had nine. I assumed about the same number this year.

We dressed up and took the little guy to trick or treat at our families houses, and a few select neighbors.

I out out a sign saying "Happy Halloween, sorry we couldn't be here. Please take one and enjoy trick or treating". I put off getting treats and EVERYWHERE was out, so I bought a case of pop and put the cans out.

They were all gone when we got home. Not sure if one kid grabbed them all at the expense if the rest, if we got 12 or more kids, or if at the end if the night one or a few said "well trick or treating is over, grab the rest".

We're going to check with the neighbours to see their numbers out of curiosity.

My folks got 7, neighbours across from them got 5. My in-laws had 1 when we got there about an hour into trick or treating.

Seemed like it was down everywhere. Driving around there weren't many kids around.

Really slow on our quiet street in Inglewood. We found out later that the community association put on a COVID safe trick or treat event at the community centre. I think most parents called it a night after that.

We had 75, down just a bit from last year. I went out with the kids and it was great. At least half left out treats by the door, and the kids seemed very respectful. Actually made the night much more efficient. Grab one and go.

We had about 150 kids, down from a high of almost 200 a couple of years ago. We have almost always just left treats out front while we bring our kids around, and haven’t had any indication of many kids taking more than they should.

Trick or treating is a relatively very safe activity, so good to see kids having fun. Looks like Christmas will be more impacted the way things are going.

Seeing as it was my birthday yesterday, I spent the day drinking. Left bags of candy on chairs and taped to a ladder. I was sitting at the front window, so all the kids were good about taking one. We had around 25. Normally we get 40.

We had a bowl out with a sign that said 'help yourself'. Was really curious to see how that would go and if anyone would take advantage.

In the end, only about 20% of the bowl was gone with no mess, no excesses. Just good honest kids.

15. I think we had 20 last year, 15 is about average. We wondered if we’d get more because we have new neighbours with kids and they told us there was something organized between their school cohorts. We thought we’d get spillover affect from that but it seemed normal.

late to the party here. had a really busy weekend.

ended up with 80 kids at my place.
last year I had 100. so almost normal.

my neighbourhood had high participation.
lots of people like me sitting outside handing out, or with tables outside for pick up.
I'd say that for the kids without a costume that included a mask, about 50% had their cloth/medical mask. I wore a level 3 medical mask.

my kid went out for an hour and had a huge haul. a lot of fun
everyone was friendly and polite as I think we're all grateful we had something almost normal to do.

We had 84 kids, down from 114 last year. I was impressed it was still that strong a showing.

We had 150ish kids which was more than last year. Homes on the main street in Coopers (Airdrie) had 500+ kids. We would've ran out by 6 with those numbers.

We had around 100.

Props to the kid that knocked on the door and it swung open cuz it wasn't closed properly. That kids strolled into my house down the hall calling trick or treat.

You gonna go far kid.
