You have to think that if Ekman Larson refuses to leave more than a few GMs are going to "help" Arizona by taking guys like Schmaltz, Dvorak and Crouse for bargain deals.
Everything you hear is both the team AND the owner are in financial trouble. Wonder about Keller but he hasn't been that good last 2 years and thats a heck of a big contract if he can't score 60 pts regularly. Hes quick and skilled and who knows what Arizona has to do to save their butts.

If OEL doesn't go, Az is going to have a fire sale.

Boston is backing away. It appears to be a one-horse ride out of town and the leverage is all Vancouver's. You want Demko? Sure, we'll throw in Louis Erikkson while you throw in Christian Dvorak or Lawton Crouse.

Gosh, I would love to get Crouse. He's huge, tough, smart, and can skate. He would take some of the sting out of losing out on Anderson, although it's better that we did. Crouse is really starting to come into his own offensively too.

I have no idea who Treliving and the Flames are after. If they sign a defender of any ilk including Brodie they have to protect him. With Anderson and Hannafin it really leaves Gio the odd man out.
Ergo, I wonder if Hannifin isn't the quality bait being tangled more than anyone else. They are sold on Valimaki and have some good prospects on the left. They can also resign or find a bargain veteran lefty for insurance.

He also played with Bennett in Kingston.

I'm guessing this was low enough to chase after Hall and re-sign Brodie
Honestly I can see us tomorrow coming out with either Markstrom, Hall or Peterangelo

I don't think there is any way in the world the Flames could land Pietrangelo, but that would be amazing.

Crouse has no offense. He is a 4th liner. Guy was drafted 3-4 rounds too high.

The only reason I see it that way is because teams like Tampa/NYR/LA/SanJose/Anahiem are not looking. I think we have a legit shot.

I have this crazy sense in my guts that Nylander is gonna be a Flame by the end of tomorrow. And Sam Bennett will be going the other way.

So what are the general thoughts we all have? Are we going land one of the big three (Markstrom, Hall, Pietrangelo)? Are we going to do the typical Flames things and over pay for older middle tier talent on the brink of a collapse (Hi James, Hi Troy)?
Will Tree actually improve this team? Or are we coming back nearly identical to last year?

Other than losing some grit, would it be so bad? (I'm a huge Bennett fan btw)
We have to get our hands on each and every Swede we possibly can!

I am sticking to my original prediction. We sign Markstrom, we re-sign Brodie and we are done.
