DeBrusk - Bennett - Dube would be a fun line to watch.
I could see a deal involving Hanifin, if the Flames were interested. I think Boston has to add a little though (like a 2nd or a 3rd)

What was Demko's record last season again?

I mean this is also not considering we have two outstanding young prospects in Emilio Pettersen and Jakob Pelletier who both are LWers AFAIK.

Hanafin for Debrusk would be insane IMO. Debrusk is just a 2nd line winger who hasn't progressed at all.
I am very scared of what Treliving will do during free agency based on the rumors.
More than anything, I hope the Flames don't sign Markstrom. I've posted a 100 times on this, so I'll leave it at that.

Can't bank on maybes imo. If you acquire a guy and a prospect takes a step and pushes him out a year or two down the road, that's a good thing.
If you don't acquire the guy because you have a prospect or two who could replace him in a couple of years and they don't? That's bad.

Yea Hanifin being almost 400 nhl games in at 23 should fetch more than Debrusk.
Kase + Debrusk for Hanifin + ?? 3rd ??

And Hanifin is a second pairing dman who hasn’t progressed at all. Both might benefit from a change of scenery.

Not banking persay just saying that the position is backing up quite a bit so much so that you have to consider the Pelletiers and the Pettersens. This team should be prioritizing righties when it comes to adding middle six guys IMO because all of the following players can play LW
Gaudreau
Tkachuk
Mangiapane
Bennett
Dube
Lucic
Pelletier
Pettersen
Plus we are considering Hal... It would seem redundant to add Debrusk into that mix of lefties unless we are considering moving out a couple of them.

Whoa, pump your breaks. We don't have any outstanding prospects. We have one good prospect in Pelletier. Pettersen is a long shot at this time. We won't know what we have with him until he plays pro IMO.

Wouldn’t a Bruins fan say; ‘Hanifin is just a second pairing defence man who hasn’t progressed at all?’
Disclaimer: I wouldn’t do Hanifin for Debrusk straight up either, but I don’t think that value is very far off.

Even then, 2nd pairing defenceman >> 2nd line LW. Especially when we’re already loaded with left shots on the left side.

CliffFletcher: Hanifin is a 2nd pairing D who didn't progress at all while paired with the team's biggest anchor of all the D who were in the starting lineup. He looked pretty good with Andersson.

Will that be one, or two spots ahead of the Cam Talbot backed Flames?

What was Markstrom's three years ago? If he makes it to UFA I am willing to bet the Flames offer will not affect how much he signs with Colorado for.

I hate to be the one to say it, but literally nobody is bitter about, or jealous of, any accomplishments of the Calgary Flames since 1989.

Who are we bitter about? What are you talking about?
We will see if Markstrom ends up here or not but no one wants OEL. I hope your team pays a price to get him and enjoys having that deal on the books for the next 7 years.
Your boy Dim Jim comes from the Chiarelli GM tree and has already put your team in a tight cap spot before they pay their franchise cornerstones. Sutter, Eriksson, Rousel, Beagle, Myers, Baertschi all garbage contracts.

Ya right. You LOVE to be the one to say it. All you ever post about is how bad the team is.
