Appealing my suspension

Kirk sounds similar to Kruk...if he hits like him, who cares about his size. He's a faster runner than Benji Molina was.
I always remember a phrase from a ESPN game in the early 90's where the color guy said you know Kruk runs pretty good for a fat man...now Kruk would have thought that was awesome. But he actually could move pretty well for a heavier guy.

Shoemaker was great.
I certainly feel OK with Ryu, Walker, and Shoemaker as our 3 playoff starters. Keep Ray as a high leverage bullpen arm or as a long relief guy if one of the other 3 runs in to trouble.
Or just plan for a Shoemaker/Ray combo in game 3. Only hesitation with that is if we don’t make it to game 3, that’s two of our better pitchers that won’t see any action.
They’ll probably have a plan A for if they win game 1, and a plan B for if they lose.

With no off-days, we will want Ray ready for the ALDS if we get there. I'd probably actually piggyback Shoemaker/Ray in game 3. If we can get 4 from each that would take so much pressure off the bullpen.
