Never affected me living in banff and canmore for 15 years. In fact my migranes were worse living in Saskatchewan. I dont get them nearly as frequently after I turned 30 either.
Not all people are the same or affected equally so who knows. But I think this line of thinking on a personal level is BS.

I doubt it.

Not a fan of Eklund, but the way I read it says the ask for Philly starts with Ghost AND a pick AND a player.
Not just Ghost, and I assume that's there to make the money work and with Calgary maybe losing Hamonic and Brodie.

The chinooks can also mess with migraines, due to pressure changes.

That is why they said "can", not "does", because they know it's not the same for everyone. Mine are made worse from pressure changes and when chinooks come, sometimes I can't even get out of bed. That is part of the problem with migraines though, they can be caused by a million different things.

McCann signed in PIT for 2x2.93 per year. I think thats a close barometer for Mangiapane.

I would hope that they go for a bit more term, and eat a couple of UFA years.

Gaudreau is a marquee player in the league, and any potential trade involving him would be substantial. Treliving has made some questionable moves and some great moves, but he is not making the decision.... no question Flames ownership would be dictating any Gaudreau move and it would have to be quite a return to pry him away, regardless of his current contract terms on his deal and where he’s from, etc. I’d say he stays unless an amazing offer is presented to the Flames.

no idea on the legitimacy of that twitter account...
But, as a yearly disappointed/confused Flames fan, it wouldn't shock me to see us ship out a 1st this year for something shortsighted.

Looks like a pretty clear joke (attempt) tweet to me.

Think that tweet was just meant to be a joke with the picture of Treliving.
Wouldn't take it as any type of insider knowledge.

Live action shot. Every time Tre adjusts his glasses that way, he trades a pick. Legit.

Phew. Because the players with a 1st aren’t available and the players that other GMs would give up for our 1st - I do not want

Eklund is like any fanboy posting for the team he follows and every one of them all use the same bs grounds for a Gaudreau trade, a late 1st, a cap dump, and an average player. Every blogger that writes about their fav team does the same thing, not remotely thinking of the other side or they think BT is a complete idiot. Like I said before, unless someone blows BT away with an offer he cannot refuse I highly doubt Johnny is traded. All this JG trade talk is the work of Eric Francis so he can stir the pot once again to get attention. I don't understand why this organization works with him so closely when he is clearly so toxic in his views of the team.

I think Eric Francis is as much of an ass clown as the next guy, but let's get serious. The trade johnny talk is absolutely not the exclusive bailiwick of EF, but instead has been brought on by more than a full calendar year of *very* uninspired play by 13 and two absolutely abysmal playoff showings. Johnny has brought this talk upon himself.

Mangiapane will get less because he's done it for fewer years. McCann has back to back 35 point seasons, preceded by a 28 point season. Mangiapane thus far has one 32 point season, receded by 13 points (in 44). I think we see Managiapne sign for 2 years at 2-2.5m, which would still leave him as a RFA at the conclusion of his deal.

Last season was pretty alarming for me. I know any player can have an off season, but typically that has to do with puck luck, changing line mates, injuries, etc...
Gaudreau just wasn't playing at all the way he used to and looked average most of the time. He had his lowest career point total, even less than his rookie season (granted in 12 fewer games). I think he deserves all the scrutiny he gets and I really have to wonder if there is something up with regarding fitness or his mental state.

Rude.
Also, I did enjoy Baertschi.
He was a great filler who showed flashes of finally figuring out the NHL but couldn't stay healthy when he'd finally figured it out. I regret that concussions have probably ended his NHL career. But he went down to Utica and has apparently been exemplary in demonstrating to young players what is required to play in the NHL. Perhaps that style of leadership at this level is why the Canucks have a great farm system currently while the Flames are usually rated in the lower third... Maybe.

Here's a curveball for the group to consider. I have been trying to figure out if an Ekblad trade might be possible given what rumors have been coming out of Florida. Personally I think he might be the best RD "available".
Disclaimer, I am still against trading Monahan. But if we do:
Monahan+Hanifin= 11.325 Cap hit
Ekblad+Connolly+Borgstrom= 12.5 cap hit
Saves them money long term on the Ekblad contract, they get a young stud defenseman to fill in and get a premium quality 2C (to replace the hole left by Trocheck.)
From our side, we get to move on from Monahan if we're dead set on it, while bringing in a franchise cornerstone player.

Yeah he teaches them you have to be better than him to play in the NHL
