Coric is absolutely flying versus Zverev. I'm not sure he even broke a sweat in that first set.

He's playing with house money since that unbelievable comeback against Tsitsipas.

Coric looks to have solved his serving issues (especially his second serve) which was a huge liability.

Osaka goes tonight at 5:00pm MT before Shapo. Serena goes tomorrow morning.

Today Zverev is double faulting far too much to advance beyond this stage of a major tournament. It will be his undoing if he doesn't correct this immediately against very talented players from here on out.

For as much bad-mouthing that Fowler and company have done on their commentary, there has been some high quality tennis played in this match.

On review, that double bounce wasn't really that close. That said, it was a great call by the umpire who didn't get the luxury of a slo-mo replay.

Man, in a match between Shelby Rogers and Naomi Osaka, Chrissie Evert can't help bringing up how beloved Serena is by the US Open crowd that is not there this year.

Which is strange because all the chatter I’ve read over the years is that Chrissie can’t stand Serena and Venus. I’ve found some of her comments to be veiled digs at times.
