I love Doc Emrick but this is a beautiful rebuttal.

After Bergeron who is the better C on the Bruins than Monahan?

I really don't think Krejci is better than Monahan.

If we are using counting stats Krejci just put up 7 points in 5 games against the canes.
I'm going to assume that advanced stats are heavily in favour of Krejci as well when it comes to defense, but I don't know that for sure.

Sorry, but if I can have either centre for one year only next year, I take Monahan over Krejci in a heartbeat. There's no way Krejci is better than Monahan.

I'd take the Bruins.
But I would take Moanahan over Krejci as well.

Sure, but if we're going by that standard, then Bennett is a better centre than Krejci. So Boston still wouldn't have 2 centres better than the Flames.

So that's Ritchie dropping the gloves and feeding Paquette without Paquette even engaging.
To me, that should be a 5 minute major to Ritchie. This is where the league needs to change how they call the game. It's like when Kassian jumped Tkachuk. 5 minutes and a 10 minute for attacking an opponent.

I 100% agree with you. Not that I would trade Monahan for Krejci, due to the huge difference in age, but a Krejci type player is exactly what the Flames need at centre. If they were both the same age I would make that deal.
Krejci's greatest skill set is his ability to think the game, he is so smart and although not super quick, is very good at creating space for himself and his line-mates due to the fact he thinks the game at such a high level. He is a mini Bergeron and a major reason the Bruins have seen post season success during his tenure.

Followed it up with a dangerous boarding on Gourde. Got a 5 minute major.

Nick Ritchie, congratulations on killing your team in a critical playoff game. Should have never seen the ice today after his stupid slash in the last game.

Just tuned in as Nick Ritchie boarded Gourd. Nasty hit, as Gourd was still in the faceoff circle...

Come on Boston...
But man, Tampa just look like a well-oiled machine at the moment. Great passing.
