If that’s the case full blown admit we’ve failed again and do a

Full rebuild and worry about this in 5 years
I'm debating now whether I'd rather start a rebuild or watch this team for another year. Rebuild looks awful tempting.

Are you watching the game Dion?

He sunk the team by pulling Talbot and putting in a unplayed BSD into the worst possible scenario.

Sorry, I don't blame any of the players for this collapse. Lindholm half assed it on the first. Lucic with a penalty that wasn't a penalty. That's it

Everything else has resulted from lucky shot goals vs Talbot. Very lucky goals vs Talbot and the coach puts in the seive that hasn't played well since January who promptly let's in 3 goals worse then Talbot has all playoffs minus the 1 side board shot vs the Jets. Players are disheartened and down because every second shot on net goes in with a goalie they didn't have confidence in before the break.

Lets see, what do we think our roster should look like next year based on what we have seen.

Dont think you can get rid of Gio, but I think his role and expectations needs to change. Bring him down to second pair and dont put him up against other teams top lines any more. Less ice time so he can put more in fewer shifts. Brodie has been fine. Anderson has been fine.Quite good in the winnipeg series. I personally like Gust on the power play but idk how much his contract is gonna cost. Hannifin has also not been that bad either.

So I think our D will something like;

Hanifin - Anderson
Gio - Brodie
Jusso - xxx
Kylington

When it comes to forwards I think it is a little bit more difficult.

For the first line, Johnny really stepped it up this last few games and has been flying. That is enough for me to have some hope in him stepping his game up. Lindholm hasnt been the best however Ward keeps moving him around and Ik lindholm said he hated Peters moving him around lines. He has said he wants to be put on a line and stay there. So Ill give Lindholm a pass. Monahan hasnt checked into the hub yet, dont know where he is. So The second line has been fine, Backlund has been great, Tkachuk is out but was good in winnipeg, eat bread had a good first series kinda disappeared in the second. 3rd line and 4th line will probably change a ton anyway but I wouldnt touch that third line regardless.

Need to move Monahan.

Goalies, who the hell knows how to fix that.

I'd bet the top available coaches "miss" their flight to interview with this team.

Mangiapane, Lindholm, Hanifin, Valimaki, Monahan and Backlund are all players you want on your team IMO

Goaltending and coaching need significant improvement

Who knows what they do about the lack of killer instinct and constant disappointments, but hopefully management has an idea of who lacks the commitment and makes some changes
Monahan is definitely not a player I want on my team. If they only trade one core guy it better be him.

Dont trade Gaudreau, need gamebreakers. Let him play with Bennett for a couple of years.

I like how Bieksa is honest about not being a Flames fan. Of course he isn't, and he shouldn't have to hide it.

Oh well. Potentially last period of hockey unless we find a way to claw back in. Let’s enjoy the last twenty minutes of hockey till end of the year

I watched and understood the move was to motivate his team. A risk that failed badly.

To be fair, the team was already sinking, he just didn't need to a shoot a bigger hole.

What else could they say? Game and season is long over and Flames' golf season has been cut short.

Pretty sure he was laughing at his Perry burn (comment about how slow he was on the breakaway) - they were teammates (and prob friends).

I actually think we may see some Flames players cry in the post game.

I’ve been a STH for this entire “era”. I started in Johnny’s rookie year.

It is freaking weird to watch this era end so soon.

That was a bone head move but it's another brick in the wall. The coach sucks, goaltending terrible, players choked.

I didn't expect the Flames to be in this game at all, but of course they have to go up 3-0 before they totally #### the bed.

This team is sooooo hard to cheer for when you just know they can't find the compete level for a full 60. Only difference today was they played the first instead of the third
