We hear a lot about Quinn Hughes and Cale Makar because of their connection to Canada. But Heiskenen is probably the most dynamic young defenseman in the league. What a special player. With that said. #### him.

Pretty flawless period outside of the Lucic giveaway into the high slot
D men are skating and the Dallas breakout is a total mess. I think it’s more Dallas starting slow than Calgary having improved their forecheck, but I hope 3-1 lead gives Calgary the freedom to keep pushing. No sitting back, try to win this 5 or 6-1 if possible.
Refs can #### right off with the total crap call on Lucic though. This is hockey, not baseball

Wow very good period, this is best Gaudreau has looked and when he is moving his feet Monahan will get open, only a matter of time until we see that. That fourth line has a huge wing span on the wings and has looked solid. Flames moving the puck quickly and getting it out when they need to.

According the NaturalStatTrick, after 1 period the Stars had 3 scoring chances, the Flames had 12.
