I didn't think they had that in them. Hopefully that gives them a little breathing room for next game.

Yeah baby huge win!!! Happy to eat crow on Talbot. Ward doing everything right with the goalie and 4th line.

Klingberg missing the net at the end of the 2nd was the turning point. Getting scored on late after the no call and fresh ice from the glass break would have been the most Flames thing ever. Thankfully he missed and the Flames recovered.

Remember when people were talking about the Flames' goaltending and how it wasn't good enough to steal games?

Talbot 100% just stole us that game.

I don't want to hear any crap that we didn't deserve it or any bull like that.

The goal is to win, mission accomplished. Get ready for game 4 and just win!

2007. Kipper was the only player who showed up in that Detroit series.

I loved how the Flames tightened up at the very end. Dallas couldn't get much going with the extra skater, and the Flames weren't being greedy by making long shots for the empty net, thereby risking no icing. Except for Mangiapane that once, but I am not sure if he was trying for the net, or he just wanted to get it deep.

Oiler fans are going to be bitter...lol.

Just kinda annoying that we aren't up 3-0, which we should be.

Well folks it's official, the Flames are one win away from being one win away from winning this thing.

Thoughts:

- Talbot was clutch.
- Bennett, Lucic, Dube, Backlund and Ryan were our best forwards. Mangiapane has a solid 3rd.
- Brodie and Hanifin were our best defencemen
- Giordano made some “classic Gio” plays on the final PK tonight, I hope that’s momentum building for him
- Gaudreau is just a walking facepalm at this point

I thought Ward made some smart moves (incl. Mang and Ryan with Monahan at the end of the game).

I know Monahan is deservedly taking #%^* right now, but I still have time for him because I see him trying to play outside of his comfort zone. It’s not working, but he’s really trying.

Our “best” players need to be a lot better going forward.
Agree, thought Gio better tonight than last night, and hope he is trending up, cuz he's been bad. Backlund on fire tonight, and a lot of other pieces moving.

Thought Gio had a great game, especially that late PK. Great to see after getting eviscerated by many here recently after struggling for the most part.

Also, I discovered the winning combo of superstitious mumbo jumbo to ensure a Flames win. I put my new retro white Flames jersey on in the 2nd period the game, and I drink the whole game.

You are welcome everyone. I make this sacrifice for us all.

Talbot was great, and some luck, some Rope-a-dope, stars were known for a lot of perimeter shots and wide shots.

Thank you Talbot. That wasn't a pretty performance by his teammates.
