Yeah that seems unnecessary. It’s not like you’ve got building conflicts. Two games a day, alternating days. This doesn’t have to be complicated.

Speed. I imagine they’re still trying to get this done as fast as possible. Players away from family, cost of maintaining the bubble etc.

I imagine they don't want to give players any more days off than they need. Given the players had several months off I think they should be able to handle back to back games.

They've already announced the start dates for every round. They're all 2 weeks apart. You can schedule 7 games over 14 days by just alternating days.

Schedule 2 series to run on the odd numbered days and 2 series to run on the even numbered days. That's it. That's all you have to do.

Hopefully it doesn't go 7. 7 day vacation with limited internet access starting on the 21st. Going to miss at least three games of round 2 if the Flames advance. One drawback to Summer hockey.
