John is never going to be Theo. He is what he is at this point. The part that irks me is Sean is just as bad. Lindholm was throwing the body and getting into the corners. Sean cant be bothered. Flames need to make a decision on one of these players as you can have two on your top line and expect to win against the big boys.

A bit surprised to see the lack of follow-up to what I judged to be a VERY workmanlike Game 1. No fuss, no muss, all physical and all intense. Not much of that today except I though for the 3-5 shorthanded piece.
Don't know if they're off-pace by being in the (ugh) Oil's dressing room or what. But they need to get back to that hard physical play that gave the Jets no room at all in Game 1.

Flames need better puck support exiting their zone and through the neutral zone. Support takes effort and energy. Get some slip passes going to breach the Jets smothering forecheck and exit and enter with speed.

He might have stretches of playing hard with Jankowski, Rieder, Brouwer, Neal in the regular season, until he loses motivation.
In the playoffs he's always had better usage. With Backlund in his first year. With Chiasson and a hot Versteeg his second year. On the PP with Andersson, Backlund, etc his third go around. And now with Dube and Lucic this year.
That is the difference between playoff Bennett and regular season Bennett.
