Out in 4, this is an exhibition game, they won't be able to level up. We've heard all of this stuff before and the Oilers never fail to disappoint. After 2 weeks Tippet will be hiding from skype calls.

Awful awful period by the Flames. Draisaitl and McDavid are seriously at a level that no other Flame can reach.
1st goal: Draisaitl out races Monahan to a loose puck despite being behind a few feet, curls, somehow finds Ennis, now with all the time in the world finds Klefbom, rebound, Yamamoto scores.
2nd goal: Draisaitl, finds McDavid, easily roofs it and it’s 2-0.

It looked to me that CGY wanted to focus on physical play early on. As the period went on they got a little better and better.

Pretty rusty hockey being played out there. I'm very hesitant to read anything into it. I think I am mostly watching defensive play for the flames as they'll need to be tight against the Jets.
Going to need everyone to buy in defensively. I think Talbot settled in fine after things settled in.

This is true. It is true of almost every team in the league, but it is worse as a Flames fan.
