i wonder if this new scandal combined with the bad polling will eventually lead to trump being talked into resigning in exchange for a full pardon, and pence will run or some other conservsative
i realize that:
-its unlikely
-pardons dont mean state pardons
I’m really skeptical that anyone other than Trump is the republican on the ticket. Imagine the uproar within the republican base if that happened. It’s fun to imagine him disappearing before the election even happens but it’s just not happening. And while he’s definitely trailing Biden by any metric, the polls will likely rebound in his favour at some point before November.

I don't think , as a non Trump supporter, its a fun idea at all. I want him to stay in place right where he is to be shellacked in the election. It's looking like a total humiliation right now.

Why is it that the “law and order” Presidents need pardons for their own and their friends’ alleged crimes?
If they and their party want to be tough on crime, shouldn’t they be tough on their own crimes??

There is a point in time in which the ballot is essentially “closed” and no new names can added to it. That time is probably state-dependent.
But wouldn’t it be a great irony if Trump’s name is on the ballot, but he is no longer the candidate, and the electors at the electoral college are forced to either be a faithless elector (by voting for someone other than Trump because, after all, he isn’t running) or vote for Trump even though he isn’t really the Republican candidate.

Everyone is so convinced that Trump is gonna get his ass kicked or quit! (yeah right)
Biden is likely to have some major gaffs when he actually appears in public
I see these tweets and just laugh so hard at the fact the GOP had the opportunity to dump Trump with impeachment, and that cultish devotion is looking more and more like it will lead to catastrophe.

Jesus. Gaffes? Who gives a crap
Biden should be able to have a gaffe a day and it still wouldn’t keep up to the pace at which Trump lies. (Never mind the things that actually matter, all of the other ways he has shown himself to be incompetent and dangerous, being a laughingstock internationally, and a menace domestically)
The economic devastation and enormous death toll, while he is free form scatting about the virus magically disappearing and injecting bleach, should be all a Democrat needs to point to in order to win
Never mind cozying up to Putin while Russia has a bounty on the heads of US soldiers
But if anybody can screw up a favourable situation, it’s the Democrats

Quite something that the GOP is going to have to actually put some money into the safe states. Might not be much as I expect things will pull back some but wow. The GOP needs to head back towards the middle and fast.
Obviously, there's the fact that Trump has demonstrated that he isn't trustworthy and then there's the whole history between the two countries, but it's interesting that because we've consumed western media our entire lives, that we immediately look at these types of phone calls and default to the overwhelming opinion that there's likely something not proper happening here. Again, there's many valid reasons we in the west see this through this lens, but I just find it interesting.

I understand that reasonable people see these things for what they are but these clowns elected him in the first place after...making fun of the disabled, grab her by the P, mexicans are rapists, ect.
Just saying, I won't be the "Trump can't win" guy again
That can be a big part of how a government turns over. It doesn't say anything good for Biden's chances in four years if he does get elected, but eh.
I don't think Biden being not-well-liked should come as too much of a surprise. He's kind of an idiot, but he's a useful idiot for now, and a strong VP pick could really help push more people into the "for Biden" camp instead of the "against Trump" camp.
