My neighbour is the stereotypical Trump supporter (bald head, goatee, Oakley glasses, a walking sentient toe) and has his MAGA gear on proud display on the dash of his oversized truck. In America it definitely doesn’t feel like his people are leaving him, all of this is waved away as liberal media trash. Do not underestimate the hold he has on the owning the libs crowd. He’s the symptom not the cause and just because he changes doesn’t mean the people will.

^ You just described my neighbour perfectly - except for the oversized truck. He has stopped talking to us since my wife painted Black Lives Matter on the back window of her car. A nice development, as i got sick of listening to his racist/MAGA rants and politely ignoring him for the sake of being neighbours. He's a big Packer fan, can't wait until he hears Favre's opinion on Kapernick, he is going to have a total meltdown

I present to you the greatest political ad ever shot on VHS tape, this gem from Republican Shelli Landon who is running to represent the fifth congressional district of the great state of Okahoma (sic).
Poor attendance at his rally in Tulsa, Okla., on Saturday night has President Trump increasingly frustrated with his campaign manager, Brad Parscale, and considering shaking up his reelection team, according to sources familiar with the issue.
“The president has diminishing confidence in Brad,” a former adviser said of Parscale, who served as the campaign’s digital director in 2016.
According to the former adviser, Trump, who is “getting madder by the day,” has recently made dismissive comments about Parscale’s experience. Prior to working with Trump, Parscale worked at a web design and marketing company he founded in San Antonio. He was named campaign manager of the president’s reelection bid in early 2018.
“I’ve been in the room when Trump refers to him as ‘the website guy.’ … And that’s not that long ago. It’s a problem for Brad,” the former campaign adviser said.
There was a segment on John Oliver's show yesterday about wishing Trump a Happy Father's Day, and highlights of interviews with him with his kids, and about his kids. Absolutely no skills as a parent. It was gross, sad, hilarious and so cringy all at the same time. I'm not sure if the clip is available in Canada yet.

Wow, I genuinely thought you were talking about my neighbour here in Calgary. Except to go with the MAGA stuff, throw in No libtards and #### Trudeau bumper stickers along with an upside down Canadian flag in his yard.

And he no doubt considers himself to be a "real Canadian" and a "true patriot".
The funniest thing is about my neighbors who are like your neighbors is that the things they hate about Trudeau are the things they love about Trump. All Trudeau does is spend spend spend. Trudeau always lies. Trudeau is only out for himself. We need a guy like Trump.

I don't know how much you have to drink/smoke/snort/pop/inject to cope with working for Trump, but it's gotta be a lot. His mouthpieces spend all weekend moping up his "more testing for COVID is bad" as some kind of joke, and by noon Monday he torpedoes it.
So essentially after making his people have to say “it was clearly a joke” to try to get from under that stupid comment he made, he doubles down and says it again.
The US is 26th in test per million and let’s not forget countries without outbreaks are going to test less because they did a better job controlling it in the first place. The US better be testing a lot right now because they need to be.
Edit: using 2017 data COVID-19 just passed Alzheimer’s to take over 6th place in the leading causes of death in the USA. 47,000 more Deaths and it will break into the top 3.
