Gilmour scored in OT. Morel waived it off.
From what I remember, Hrudey was on his butt inside the goal after making a save. Gilmour knocked the puck in and it landed between Hrudey's legs, behind the goal line. The puck went back into play before anyone had a chance to react and Morel waived it off. Because of Hrudey's position inside the goal, the goal judge's view was blocked. The NHL did not yet allow for the use of video replay to reverse bad calls (it was finally introduced in the 1991-92 season).
The overhead angle clearly showed the puck behind the goal line between Hrudey's legs. That was with 1990's replay technology too -- that's how obvious it was.
Had it counted, the series would have returned to Calgary for Game 7. Instead, the Kings went on to win the game and series in double OT.
