ok this is a really weak group- 35 is sort of a secondary goalie number so I was expecting a bit more than this list which isn't even tertiary
so its Reese for the weird assist game, Trefilov for a few memorable performances or Karlsson for the celebrations?

Yeah I did the same ... Grimson! Big Brown fights, Calgary tough guy. Wait 4 games?

Grimson: 4 games played, 2 against the Oilers, 3 fights with Dave Brown.
That was one heck of a week.

Karlsson left the biggest impression for me. I'm not saying it was necessarily the best impression of the list, just the biggest.

Wait, Trefilov had two stints with the Flames? I was really confused seeing him on this list since I just associate him with #1. The things you learn in COVID times....

Not a lot to choose from here.
I didn't think Reese was a very good backup. His numbers aren't very good, even though he played for a while.
I was surprised to see Toskala actually played pretty well in his short tenure. My memory told me that he sucked.
I went with Henrik "the Calgary Tower" Karlsson. He seemed fun and played decently as a backup for a couple years.
Nobody else really had any tenure or notable contributions to mention.
Oh, additionally: Remember that one year where Joey MacDonald started 17 games? Yeah, I wish I could forget. *shudders*

Beat the piss out of him in the first game in Edmonton, but hurt his hand. In the fight in Calgary the next night he couldn't get his taped hand out of his glove and got mucked.

I was stunned to see Reese was 17-6-3 in the regular season for the Flames during his tenure (mostly yes a reflection that the team was still good at that point
in 92-93 his numbers mirror Vernon's closely - now in the regular season that is ok for him, in the playoffs that is bad because they were both

Trefilov was a high-profile goalie in Russia. He is in Russian hall of fame.

Went with Toskala. He played really well when called upon, .918 save percentage in his 6 games as a Flame. Best goalie on this list IMO.

I went with Grimson because there was a least one thing that he did better than most players in the league.
As far as I know, the claim to fame for the rest of the group are people who have never been in my kitchen.

The problem is that Grimson didn't really become that player until he went to Chicago. His main claim to fame as a Flame was getting his face caved in by Brown.
As already mentioned, Reese had that 3 assist game, which is still an NHL record for goalies.

I voted Whitmore because my memory had him on the team for a bit. Then I went through the thread and looked at his stat line. My memory is bad.

Missed the vote yesterday. Glad to see Kiprusoff squeaked it out without it. Phew!
