This is the original header image that was used as a basis for that, I can't even remember of I or someone else made that favicon.
If you want you could make a clean one from the/based off of the new logo, or something different entirely (i.e just the cp letters). Always grateful for donated time!

I tried putting the PNG from the top of the page through the icon generator on this page: https://realfavicongenerator.net/
When it's shrunk down to icon size, the multicoloured CP doesn't look great IMO.
I played around with it and made these two versions and ran them through the icon generator, and I think they look better at the smaller size...
I didn't generate the icon files because you need access to the site settings on the server to implement them, but if you plug those images into the site linked above, it can generate all the icons that are needed to work with all the different devices and browsers that are out there.

Thanks guys. Here's a higher res version of the logo, the site wants a 260x260 image to derive the higher res ones, I guess if I change them I should do it right for all the resolutions. Think you could give that higher res the same treatment getbak?

I think I like the gradient one best, two color letter second best.

Huh came out all white, grey, and black with a little orange and yellow. Interesting colour combination. Reboot the brand?
Edit: not complaining but for someone using dark mode it was a very striking change.

It's just a small version of the puck logo at the top left with the colors being a gradient. I think the biggest difference with the black background is it puts a white border around the puck.

It does, that’s why it was a bit jarring on dark mode. Looks good though.
