I'm really struggling to find anything that differentiates Forbort from Davidson at all

I like the guy but don't know how well Davidson would do playing more than 20 minutes a game

I thought Davidson was really solid for a 7th/8th/9th guy. Didn't make too many mistakes, played physical, moved the puck out of the zone. I thought he was solid depth for a playoff bound team like Calgary. Surprised they moved him, actually, though not very surprised about what it cost SJ.

Forbort is better than Davidson.

Davidson was going to the AHL otherwise.

Draft pedigree. We love former high draft picks.

Davidson was going to be an UFA anyway. Could've kept him Stockton.
Which SJ team though? Sharks or Baracuda?

Hopefully SJ will have a 3rd string goalie they'll give us as that future consideration

One guy never played a full season in the NHL (at 28 years of age), 169 games total.
The other guy had 3 full seasons in the NHL (at 27 years) and 268 games total.

One is an AHL fill in. The other is much more likely to be an NHL player, albeit 5/6 or popcorn eater.

Future considerations is probably a draft pick. I’m guessing this was rushed through to make the Gustafson trade cap compliant

Hmm SJ play the Oilers on March 27th. Maybe future considerations is letting Neal score two goals?
