I hope the 3rd, minor deal is recouping a pick. It feels like we haven't had a full draft in years.

If we sign one/both to reasonable extensions than it makes sense. If these are purely rentals then it's just yet another example of this organization being comfortable with treading water and that's not ok. You are either building to win now now or building to win in the future. We build to kinda maybe hopefully be just good enough to even make the playoffs, let alone have success when we get there. This franchise appears to be stuck in purgatory and they have no one to blame but themselves from the top down.

Ah yes, the annual Nick Shore/Chris Stewart. Let’s not forget!

It seems like a sign that management knows this team isn't going anywhere as constructed, even if they do stumble assbackwards into a playoff spot, so why expend any meaningful assets.
Had Hamonic been healthy, I think they could have gotten a 2nd for him. With Brodie, I'm willing to forego that return as the opportunity cost to potentially resign him in the offseason. He's quietly having his best season, and I'd like the Flames to at least make a run at retaining him.

The Lehner deal to LV irks me. I would have easily paid that price for a potential #1 goalie moving forward. Results are inconclusive on BSD, and you only have another 2 months of being tied to Talbot. Yeah, his numbers aren't stellar this year, but I think it is worth the risk for a 2nd and a prospect.

Because they are not expiring assets that we should be moving on from? Good grief. People just want movement for the sake of movement.

well I think each team saw the easier than usual path to the conference final, and decided to take their shot.

If gio/hamonic are out for more than 2-3 weeks, that is likely the season anyways. WTF is the point in this mirage of hope, adding bottom pairing dmen as all that is missing for this roster?!

Coyotes add hall, getting their MVP goalie back this week.
 Canucks add tofolli.
 Vegas adds Lehner, Martinez
 Oilers adds green, Athanasiou, Ennis
 flames add... huh?

Barf. Treliving really really sucks at trade deadline day, add that to him already being terrible at free agent day.
Just have him make trades at the draft, handle the draft, and sign RFA's. Bring someone in for everything else.

I'm just super pissed, fails to add to our biggest need which is at forward, preferably a right hand shot, even a prospect or anyone who could surprise. Wasted assets on a team that already has a bunch of D once people are healthy. This is just a slight push to make the playoffs but not enough IMO to do any damage once in. That's why I'm pissed, would have wayyy rather just sold to bolster roster next year.

Setting up for the last kick at the can for the Monahan and Gaudreau duo I think.
Hanifin for Nylander would have been sweet haha

			Disappointing in a sense...
Happy we didn't pay the price for a rental, the market was an absolute disaster.
Surprised we did not make a top 6 forward move
Sad we didn't trade an expiring asset (brodie/hamonic) and now face losing them for nothing
Sad no Hockey deal made, feel we should have pushed to make it happen especially with how big some of the West teams went

Glad we didnt pay the bad prices but sad we didn't sell where we could.
Teams a long way from contending and with no moves made I feel were simply unsure of what we are and again are just trying to sneak in for playoff $$

 Not good enough.

this team is not going to play more than 3 playoff games this year, with or without a big trade for a forward. I applaud BT for not making any knee jerk moves.

I think Tre will do something HUGE this summer, I think he did well today given the circumstances, got a powerplay QB and depth D to replace Hamonic.
I don’t understand what people were expecting of him, if he traded Brodie for picks we would be ridiculed for purposely tanking and Hamonic is on LTIR.....
