I liked Grant when he was here. Glad he's been able to forge a career.

14 goals for Grant this year. Solid season for Grant so far.

I had no idea Grant actually had trade value.

14 goals on a bad Ducks team and great in the dot.

The 14 goals are certainly due to increased playing time on a terrible team. Grant has put up two big seasons in Anaheim and come nowhere close to those levels anywhere else. His CF% is a pretty poor 39.9%. That being said, Grant is a solid bottom of the roster player who can contribute some meaningful minutes as a depth center. It's a good add, but the price is a little high for my liking.

Weird career - his 2 full years in Anaheim (separated by time in Pittsburgh) he's 18.5 and 17.3% shooting percentage and everywhere else he is much much lower. In particular 0% in his first 3 seasons (for 4 teams). Twice he's been re-aquired by the same team (he played for Buffalo twice in one year). So obviously he's liked. Career year this year at age 29 (opportunity and ice time I guess).

Really happy to see Grant is now more of a regular NHLer than he was with the Flames.
