They are 10th in the conference with 20 games to go. Considering the opponent it's as must win a game as we will see in the next week. A loss tonight will represent a nail in the coffin.

Feels like if they can't get it together for this game then my confidence will be about 5% to make the playoffs

If the Flames lose this one tonight I think their season is effectively over. Brad jumps on the phones tomorrow and sells whatever he can to recoup some draft picks or prospects.

I just don't see how you could lose to Detroit at this time of year and expect to make the playoffs.

That being said, expecting a convincing win. Go Flames!

What happens if they win tonight, then bomb the rest of the trip?

The next month schedule is brutal.

I am happy to be able to watch tonight's game without really caring about the results. I am sorta curious what happens Monday if they lose...

How we perform today will dictate the deadline performance of Treliving IMO; I’m hoping we playing a convincing style and win so we can finally go all in on this core.

Yawn. While the two points is very important and given the opponent, they simply gotta get them, but the notion that this is a nail in the coffin if they lose is just silly. 2 points out with 19 to play is far from insurmountable especially one of the teams the flames are chasing has played 2 more games.

Yawn!

Time to be honest with what this team is. There is zero need to buy for a floundering middling team. On the outside looking in tomorrow, after losing to the Wings?

Make the right choice, Treliving.

Games at hand only matter if they are won. I wonder if there's been any trade talk in the dressing room. That could play a huge part in how they play tonight. Will they be motivated or worried or have they just given up already?

I much rather be on 68 points on 62 games(Flames) then 70points from 65 games(coyotes).

Nashville might have something to say about that as well.

Also, the Captain is in a regular jersey, skating with the main group.

I sincerely hope one hockey game is not going to determine long term decisions for this organization. I think we know enough about this club now.

And of yeah, definitely a trap game.

For Detroit.

Way I look at it is this could go 4 ways.

Win and Tre buys at deadline - everyone on here is mad.
Lose and Tre sells at deadline - everyone on here is mad.
Win and Tre sells at deadline - everyone on here is mad.
Lose and Tre buys at deadline - everyone on here is mad.

Sure glad I'm not a GM Hahaha.

You forgot
They lose, Tre stands pat at the deadline - everyone on here is mad
And
They win, Tre stands pat at the deadline - Everyone on here is mad

That makes six scenarios, only one outcome

You're sending a proposal on trade deadline day? Are you doing it by fax?
