Let’s not forget when he kicked Dave Bolland in the leg, severing his tendon.
It was deemed an accident at the time, but I always wondered if he intentionally kicked him. Regardless, he more than most should realize the dangers of a sharp skate blade.

Funny.. Kassian said Cernak was holding his leg but in that replay you can clearly see Kassian reach out and grab Cernak's arm slowing him from getting up. Only when he lets go Cernak starts getting up freeing Kassian's leg. After his leg is free is when he winds back and delivers a kick to Cernal's chest. That is clearly not a pulling your leg out from being stuck movement.
Guys get tangled up every game and this maybe the first time I have ever seen a reactionary kick to the chest.
Edit: Looked again and Kassian's leg wasn't even pinned under Cernak's arm at all. It was loose to the side on top of his own player completely free. When he pulls his leg back nothing was obstructing it at all. I get it all happens much quick than being able to watch it slow mow but it is completely opposite of what Kassian said happened.
He looks directly into to logo, winds up and kicks with an expression of anger.
He knows what he is doing and it wasn't an accident.
Don't remember seeing that. Really looked like a kick to me, and given the history of Kassian, he really doesn't and didn't deserve the benefit of the doubt.
Tkachuks hits were clean, and Kassians reaction was horrifying, yet he was praised immediately afterwards by the likes of Burke and Friedman. And the praise continued from many, many others.
I thought I'd lost my mind.
Yup, ditto.
Couple times during that week I'd thought "are we the baddies?".
No, we aren't. Screw the Oilers, screw their fans, screw "the cold", screw all the hockey world that support that shaved ape last month.

The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!

It just shows you how far the hockey media has been sucked into the Oilers' MAGA-like propaganda machine. It's pretty obvious that the league desperately wants McDingus and the Oilers in the playoffs, and they often go to ridiculous lengths to paint that team in a positive light despite anything that happens to the contrary, like Kassian's insane behavior or the fact that they've been the most embarrassing franchise in pro sports for over a decade.
