The guy spends, literally, 100's of millions of dollars every year to put that team on the field. Without him (and all owners) there is no NFL.
Yeah...he should get it first.

Part of what makes the Stanley Cup presentations so amazing is the players get the trophy first. We get to see each individual who contributed on the ice recognized for their accomplishment. It's pure passion and joy distilled into ten minutes of jubilation.
NHL owners spend billions too. If the Flames win the cup this year, who do you want to see get it first -- Mark Giordano, or Murray Edwards?

Now that it's over, and watching the post-game (ESPN feed) I really think the fact the Chiefs faced so much adversity in their 2 playoff games, while the Niners essentially had two walkovers is what made the difference. As soon as the screws started to tighten, one team knew what to do.

Doesnt matter what I want.
If I am an owner...gimme that m'fer first cause I am the guy who pays the bills and risks the money.
As is continually pointed out by players and owners..."its just business".
In which case the guy leading that business rightfully gets the spoils.

Happy for the Chiefs, felt like the Saints win coming from behind. Watching the twitter live with Montana, Favre and Brees was awesome, Brees is next level breaking down defences and I’m a little worried that he shuts it down and goes to Monday Night Football.

So do soccer clubs, and every other sport club in the world.
US pro major leagues except for hockey have it wrong in giving it to owners first. Players actually have to go out and earn. They actually put their bodies on the line for many months to be able to be crown champions. They should be touching first. Without them, there are no players for the team.

Maybe a 2001 Pats fan.
I hope that by 2038 I will feel the same way you did at this time last year.
