Returning a New Video Game
I just bought a terrible, terrible game for the Wii. The store won't take it back because it is opened (make sense). I will never play another minute of this game for the rest of my life, making it an expensive rental!
Are there are stores that will take back an opened video game?
Can I repackage it someone so it looks not opened

Trade it in via EB games and take the hit on the loss - at least you get something.
What game was it?

I've managed to return a terrible opened game before, the store does seem to have some ability to return the unit to the manufacturer.
The other option would be to contact whoever made the game and try to do a return directly to them. I've talked to a few people that have had success that way.
A third option is to sell it here or in the bargain finder, or eBay. You might get a price closer to what you paid.
The last option is a little less honest.. return the game as defective and they will give you a new one. Sometimes they'll leave the new one wrapped (they're supposed to unwrap it to prevent this), then just return later and return the still wrapped game for a refund. I've never done this but again have spoke with people that have done it. But like I said it seems dishonest to me.

The reason stores make software unreturnable is because some patrons will burn the item, then return it, thereby effective 'stealing' the item. If you didn't burn this very crappy game, then it can hardly be considered dishonest.
That said, you should consider reading reviews / renting a game before actually purchasing it.

Yep, return it as defective... then go to a Wal-Mart and exchange it for a better one.
No reciept needed, although they take your license # and will red flag you if you do it too often.

This thread is useless if we don't know what game it is.

IS there a multiplayer option? All I can see is the Single Player version.

Play through the single player - it will unlock a whole bunch of multi-player games.
Edit: My bet on the game is Red Steel

It is just not my type of game. Big fan of minigames, not a fan of micro games.
I paid 63 for it, and EB Games wants to give me 23 for it. Making it a 40 rental for one evening.
Its pretty neat how they use the controller I must say, but, I think the target age has to be under 10 years.
Moral of my story, if your unsure you'll like a game....rent before you buy.

Having never played Wario before... How does it compare to Rayman Raving Rabbids? I love this latest rayman, and if wario is anything like it, I'll probably pick it up as well.

I know plenty of people in their 20s that love this game. I agree, I've never been a fan of the Wario Ware series at all and I've been playing since the original.
The problem is the games are all reactionary and like you said, micro. I much prefered Ganbare Neo Poke Kun for the Neo Geo Pocket Color (I doubt anybody here knows what that is).
Anyway, Wario is the perfect party game but for individual play, it's not my cup of tea either. Competing for reaction speed and performance to beat out your buddies is an amazing thing though. Try it multiplayer first, I think you'll love it. That's really what it was designed for. I think you lowballed yourself in your selling thread. Many, many people love this game

I'm WAAAY older than 20 and I think Wario's a real fun game but, then, I've enjoyed all the Warioware titles.
Blackarcher: Rayman is a better game imo. The minigames compared to micro games just have more meat to them and allow for significant replay. Rabbids is just hilarious too. After saying that, WW, is a fun party style game and is worth a purchase if you are at all interested in the genre.
