You are welcome to participate or not, but don’t pretend that Flames fans jeering one specific player is going to have any sort of effect on the team’s or the city’s reputation among NHL players at large. It won’t.

I'm actually happy we have Hughson and Simpson for tonights game. Debrusk is good, but at the expense of being also stuck with Randolf, no thanks. Galley would have been good too if Hrudey isn't available.

You can't say that definitively. You just finished defending why we can't definitively say Laviolette won't pick Dallas or San Jose over Calgary. That same logic applies here.
Edit ie if Laviolette is looking at intangibles when picking a new coaching destination, how is an FA or someone asked to waive a NTC not doing the same thing when choosing? Reputation does matter. Just my two cents. I mean even with Neal, he asked Commodore his opinion before signing... are they likely to still recommend the Flames if the city comes across like a bunch of pretentious a holes I don't.

It’s not even close to the same thing, because as I pointed out earlier in this thread, James Neal is one guy among dozens of former players who have been treated exceptionally well by the Flames and Flames fans after their departure. NHL players are not suddenly going to be galvanized by the one incident of poor James Neal getting jeered at the Saddledome. The idea is pretty silly.
