What is it with Cousins and Monday night games? He's just awful and they are lucky right now that the Packers have been sloppy with the ball.

Vikings offence just getting destroyed. Under 150 yards of offence..may be the worst offensive performance I've seen at home all year.
They'll likely have a first round trip to the Superdome in a couple weeks

Vikings are not going anywhere with Cousins as QB.

To be fair I don't think they will go anywhere with Zimmer as head coach either. IMO he's a lot like Jeff Fisher with his conservative offenses. There's a reason Norv Turner quit working for him and it's because the guy is so conservative he gets in the way of winning. Without Cook in the lineup they had nothing going on as their offense is heavily based on play action which in today's game is pretty one-dimensional.

Is Loubo ok? Did he go to the game? Flames were in Twin Cities.

I think he may have as I recall someone on one of the shows mentioning something about Peter and the Vikings. I imagine he left the game deflated as that was not a good performance by the Vikings.

Ya he tweeted a picture up in the nosebleeds, poor Loubo such a die hard Vikings fan.
Guess he had to make his own way back to YYC as I'm sure the team charter left right after the game.

Loubo and Arash Madani are the biggest Vikings fans.

If anyone here is good at straight up Pick em pools, I could use your help.
I lost the lead in my pool last week. Lost PIT (NYJ), WAS (NYG), LAC (OAK), PHI(DAL) and ARI (SEA). Bolded games were ones that cost me the 2 points that have me one behind into week 17.
Week 17 sucks as you can't tell who is resting guys.
How do you pick this week? Go with your gut or is there more to it?

Pay attention to teams in the playoffs like the Ravens who will sit key players. Steelers have a lot more to play for in that game. There are a lot of obvious picks this weekend with a lot of mismatches so don’t get too cute and pick the better teams in most cases. Keep an eye on the Raiders, Steelers, Titans that need to win. Raiders in particular as if they play Jacobs that will make a big difference. If he doesn’t play it’s more of a pick-em game. May want to look at the Seahawks if you are looking at a game to make up ground as I imagine the person ahead of you takes the 49ers as the safer pick.

Unlikely.

Oakland Raiders running back Josh Jacobs underwent surgery Wednesday, according to posts on his Instagram story.
Jacobs, who has missed two of the Raiders' past three games with a fractured right shoulder, wrote, "Surgery went great fastest surgery ever." He also posted a photo with his lower leg wrapped in bandages.

Update on Jacobs, it wasnt his shoulder so he should be good to go.
Quote:
Oakland Raiders running back Josh Jacobs had surgery Wednesday to treat a skin infection on his leg, the team said in a statement Thursday.
"Josh Jacobs woke up with discomfort in his leg on Wednesday and he was evaluated and treated for a superficial skin infection," the team's statement said.
Jacobs posted about the procedure in his Instagram story, writing, "Surgery went great fastest surgery ever." He later removed that post. He also posted a photo of his lower leg wrapped in bandages.
He posted a follow-up to his Instagram story Thursday afternoon, writing, "It's not a football injury just had an infection."

Its a tricky week because you have Baltimore, Buffalo, and Minnesota locked into their spots. 7 other teams who can all theoretically improve their position with 2 of them going head to head. Two other teams in a win and you're in scenario. Plus 4 teams who need a win and help to get in. So 13 teams with something potentially at stake and two games pitting theses teams against each other.
No playoff implications for playoff bound teams
Jets at Bills and Bears at Vikings.
Both the Bills and Vikings should rest starters and use this as a bye for next weeks playoff game. Vikings might give starters a series or 2 since they were awful last week. But the Bears and Jets should win if they show up.
Teams playing out the string.
Cardinals at Rams. Take the Rams as ghe Cards got banged up and had a big win last week. LA has no first round pick so they will want to win at home.
Falcons at Bucs, two teams who started badly trying to finish strong. This one can go either way as Atlanta has some good wins lately. Tampa's defence has played much better but are undermined by Winston. I go with Atlanta here as it will make them keep Quinn and end up 7-9 again next year.
Browns at Bengals. Bengals are the worst team in the league and the Browns are as disappointing as anyone. I take the Bengals to win because winning 6 games and losing to the Bengals would be a Browns thing to do.
Teams with something to play for with bad opponents
Miami at New England. Miami has done well to win 4 of their last 8 after a 0-7 start. But a win for New England and they get the 2 seed. New England will win this game and its as easy a pick as there is although the Dolphins might cover a huge spread.
Packers at Lions. Packers win and they earn a bye and potential number 1 seed. Lions lose and they might win Chase Young. Pretty easy to see Green Bay win this and maybe this loss ultimately changes the Lions fortunes in coming seasons.
Saints at Panthers. Saints will win this one but may still end up as the 3 seed.
Chargers at Chiefs. The Chiefs could theoretically earn a bye but realistically are playing to hold their #3 seed. Chargers might find more fans at this game then they ever would in LA. I think the Chargers pull the upset because Mr. Try hard Rivers always does well when there is nothing to be gained. He continues to sewer the franchise who kept him over Brees but still thinks it was the right move. This time it costs them the chance to steal Tua in the draft.
Teams who need a win and a prayer.
Washington at Dallas. The whole planet has Jason Garret fired, and Jerry Jones probably wants a Skins win to keep young out of the Division. Take the Skins in the upset to kill off Jason Garrett.
Oakland at Denver. Somehow the Raiders with a horrid point differential are still alive. Denver has Rivers'd it in the last 4 weeks winning 3 games that don't help them at all. Make it 4 as the Donkeys win pretty convincingly over a Raiders team that is out of gas.
Colts at Jags. Jags hate the coach and GM and the owner is too cheap to fire them. Colts have had a tough year but are still around. I think the Colts win pretty convincingly.
Steelers at Ravens. Steelers need a win and help and offence. The Ravens will rest starters and outside of pride have little reason to win. But I think the idea of 11 straight wins and killing the Steelers coupled with playing time for backups will be very motivating. Greg Roman will have many HC oppotunities and RG3 gets a long awaited shot at redemption. Take the Ravens in an upset and take the under.
Both teams are in and something to play for.
49'ers at Seahawks. Win and the 49'ers are the 1 seed and likely playing the same Seahawks in 2 weeks. Lose and its a likely 3 road games to make the Superbowl. Seattle wins and its probably the 3 seed. Seahawks are more beat up and have not been impressive at home. I like the 49'ers with an extra day of rest to win this one.
Win and you're in
Giants at Eagles. The Giants front office regrets winning last week. The Eagles always make it tougher than it should be but they seem to survive. They win the game and the Division even though they don't need the win.
Titans at Texans. Simple for the Titans win and not only are you in but you pretty much guarantee yourself a trip to the Division round as you always beat Andy Reid. Lose and it might still happen depending on all the other results. Texans should rest players and prep for Buffalo but this is Bill O'Brien. Titans win after the Texans start Watson and he takes a patented Titan cheapshot that puts him in Jeopardy for next week. The Titans are rewarded for their dirty ways until the Ravens curbstomp them in Baltimore.

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank has decided to retain coach Dan Quinn and general manager Thomas Dimitroff for the 2020 season.
After a 1-7 start, the Falcons have shown dramatic improvement in the second half of the season with a 5-2 record. That includes road wins over San Francisco and New Orleans, two of the top teams in the NFC.

More than a little surprising to me.
