Having not played growing up I really don't understand the call, even after seeing it a million times. He's in control of the puck, is he not?

Well possession means touching and he never touched the puck after he pushed it back in the zone and he very clearly pushed it in from outside the zone.

The fact they blew it is evident in the fact they gave a totally wrong excuse (a Flame player knocked it in) and then retro-fitted the explanation later.

Yes, good goal. The guy along the boards knocked it in from behind the line still had a skate behind the line when the guy in the middle also got his skate on the line. Most of us got it wrong. It's an illusion because of the guy along the boards forward motion but he still had a skate behind the line while the guy in the middle was skating the other way.

They got it right, surprisingly as it looked like the timing was off on the tag.up. but the overhead still shows it clearly was on and nicely done by the canes players.
Refs still suck anyways, just cuz!

Gauthier didn't touch the puck when it was in the zone until both guys had tagged up, though.

After seeing all those different angles of it, I agree now, it's a good goal. I was wrong.

Honest question, are you watching the game? Lindholm showed up at puck drop. The only thing that hasnt happened is the puck going in the net for him. I dont care what the stat sheet says, hes had at least 5 sog so far.

Cassie Campbell gave that excuse.

Burke who actually talked to the situation room gave the correct explanation.

That's really a thin line. Pucks are not glued to sticks. Everytime the puck is away from the blade it is not possession?

Cassie said the situation room said that. Maybe she lied?

In this case it does. This isn’t just the normal distance the puck may leave a puck carriers stick while naturally skating with possession of the puck.

He clearly knocks it in. Not carries it in.

That was 100% a goal. No doubt about it. At all.

Flames need to get shots to the net and crash, over passed on a few opportunities, gotta get some piggy goals.
