Interesting wrinkle I didn't see mentioned: Ward swapped Brodie and Hanifin in the third period to defend the lead. Curious to see what he does with the D pairs in the next couple days. Brodie-Hamonic was a tire fire under Gulutzan but who knows, maybe it'll work under Ward.

Tbh I'd have guessed he'd be worth more. Air Jordans are a huge deal and doesn't he own a basketball team?

Rieder is exactly what you want from a bottom 6 player. Fast, reliable, tons of energy. I’ve enjoyed watching him over this streak. Seems to have found his role

The three quick goals at the start of the third triggered a memory in me from another recent Leafs visit: https://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/tor-v...me_state=final
I remember joking after Versteeg's goal about how funny it would be if that was the last goal of the game and all the people who showed up a minute late missed all the scoring. Then, it almost worked out exactly that way with only one more goal scored late in the first.
