Mackinnon is damn good, but not every team gives him a ten-bell scoring chance on every shift.

4 goals against the Avs, tied in the third with Rittitch not having his best game. I'll take that any day. Also too bad we weren't bad enough in 2012 to be able to select Mackinnon

Iggy used to do that pretty consistently. I miss having a player of that caliber.

As bad as the Avs play-by-play is, it's actually a bit refreshing to hear someone not named McDavid being refered to as the best player in the NHL.

watch again. mackinnon takes inside position on a hanifin who was pivoting to nowhere with 2 crossovers and turns a 2 on 2 into a 2 on1

That’s your captain and your number one goalie not giving up on a puck.

I bet they do when the Avs are trailing in the third period on home ice. When good teams are down a couple of goals at home it is natural for their top players to push back hard.

Geez... Mackinnon needs to go on a timeout or something, guy is unreal.
Close game, kudos to the Flames for staying in with the Avs, granted the Avs are missing a few key guys.

Not sure - it’s his second game in 9 or so days isn’t it?

This has been a good game by the Flames for the most part.

it's because they only have 4 good defenders. maybe 5 if the problem with hanifin is hamonic but i'm thinking that less and less

MacKinnon might be the best player in the league right now. Not even McLotteryball can take over games like this.
