Either dead or he went into the witness relocation program.

Send him a box of foam with a declared value of something like $25 000.00 When it arrives wherever you sent it he'll likely have to pay taxes based on the declared value.
Send him another email mentioning you forgot to tell him that the suite is in a part time church, and he has to join the religion (at least appear to, anyway) in order to rent it. Come up with all kinds of initiations (with pics of course) and let the hilarity ensue! I saw that on a website somewhere, and it was pretty crazy what some of these scammers would do for money.

nah nah nah - make it a tad more reasonable than that. send him an e-mail saying that the fees are... $550 (or whatever).
his $6000 - your $550 in fees = the value you declare your box as. that way he might actually pay it.

www.419eater.com have got these scammers to do some amazing things like handwrite 300 plus pages of a Harry Potter novel, hand carve a bust of the website owner's head (a particually funny bait), and even sending the scambaiter $700! There's some incredible stuff there....

The problem with excrement or rotting meat etc. is that it won't get past customs. You need something inert and benign that looks like it has actual value so they won't flag it.
Maybe old clothes that have been sprayed with every disease known to man?

Send him the money in cash as in counterfeit Canadian Tire money! If you're good with Photoshop change all the references of Canadian Tire to Canada and the cents symbol to $.

County Treasurer in Michigan falls of 419 scam.
Quote:
|
They found that bank employees had warned Katona that the investment was a sham, but the treasurer ignored the warnings. An audit eventually showed that more than $1.2m was missing from county coffers.
