Take the lucky point and run. We should’ve played better but at the same time St. Louis is a great team. I really hope this team starts getting hold of some decent consistency before it’s too late.

Good team efforts to get a point. Did not see Lucic in the 3rd. Was he benched ?

No. He played a bit in the 3rd. Quine & Janko were benched.

He played that just about perfect, refs call that almost every time if the other player falls down.

Well... On a more positive note, how good is Rittich? The guy has been a solid #1 all year. Nice to not have that constant worry everytime the puck is in our end.

Thats a problem too, if the playoffs started tomorrow. Love Tkachuk, smart and skilled player, but the reason he's struggled in the playoffs is because he's not a very good skater.

I can’t wait until I never have to see Brodie in a Flames jersey again and not have to read your puck bunny BS on here.

I think tonight was important because it flat out showed where the Flames are.

They were lucky to get a point tonight in my eyes. They didn’t generate enough high quality chances, and the few that they did they missed the net on due to lack of skill, but at the same time the Flames didn’t give an awful lot up - but what they did give up, St. Louis forced Rittich to make quality saves on.

The Flames need to upgrade their forward ranks so that in tightly checked games, the few chances they do generate have a higher chance of working out.

Did the 4th line see a shift in the 3rd?

Johnny struggled with the puck, Brodie was crap on that 1-1. Bigger issue might be lack of depth. If you have 3 players that aren’t worth a shift and another that scores bi-annually, you’re probably in trouble.

The flames could have won that game. Several times they just made back to back mental mistakes with the puck. Outside of that, I thought they looked competitive, and while the Blues were probably the better team, the flames can certainly take something positive from their play.

Matty is spoiling us. If Johnny and Co get hot, that’s a hell of a 1-2.
Speaking of, Johnny clearly fighting it. It happens to the best, but I’m a little concerned.
Mangiapane has a lot of potential.

And ffs sakes, let’s stop going down 4-3 in OT please. It’s not even fun to watch.

Huge point against the Cup champs. Full marks to the Flames for not folding up the tent at 2-0 and clawing their way back to tie it. Loved the effort in the 3rd.

Unfortunately as soon as that penalty was called in OT, we all knew how this was gonna end. First line was pretty bad all night. They need to be much better if we want to beat teams like the Blues. We still have a ways to go before we're considered a true contender, but we're close. Probably just a couple of pieces away IMO.

Anyway, I'm happy with how the team has responded lately after a rough start to the season. That was a fun game tonight against a very tough team.

Flames really should just assume Perron scoring at least one goal every time they play the mofo
