Yeah but that’s basically how he described his goal against Nashville.

I love how Rittich was the first guy in the celebration other than the 3 guys who were in the zone.

If I were the calgary flames i would simply start playing at the beginning of the game instead of 55 minutes in.

Rittich made some huge saves after they went down 3-1.

Bennett had a really strong game. Should have had a couple. Somehow had a 100% expected goals for at 5 on 5.

Tkachuk pulled through when it counted and on the powerplay but spent most of the game with ineffective 5 on 5 play, as did most of the team.

Problems still persist. Mainly the defensive composition and team play. Hamonic does not seem to me to be a significant upgrade over Stone at this point, and Gio has not been as dominant this season so far.

How many 2 on 1s did they give up this game? Must be at least 5, with many coming on the powerplay.

A lot to work on. Happy to get the points. They'll need to pick up more on this home stand.

Take the 2 quick and move on quick!!
We got lucky and stole 2 points. Be happy and move on.

A low shot to the goalies pads was the play there...had it not gone in Backlund would have likely had an open net on the rebound (scary thought)

Some of the comments in the first few pages of the game thread are straight up embarrassing.

I saw Rittich shopping at Chinook Centre on Monday. I didn't stalk him.

I like to think that helped contribute to the win tonight... you're welcome CP.

Pretty uninspired hockey for most of the game...like about 50 minutes.

It's hard to understand...when they WANT to turn it on, they can absolutely do so and control play for long stretches. They just .... don't ... for most of some games. Weird.

Big props to BSD -- a couple of two-on-zeros, a two-on-one and a whole slew of pretty good chances to fight off. Give him a medal! if he doesn't do that..Flames go down swinging.

I shudder to think where this team would be without the lopsided Carolina trade and drafting Chucky... Man he is a beast!
