The team is not sharp right now. Feels disconnected. The bottom 6 isn't really contributing much of anything, and Jankowski is the posterboy of that. Soon in need of a shake up. We need less of those types. Hopefully Treliving can find some upgrades in that department. Rittich with not his best game obviously... Need to be ready to go at puck drop in San Jose tomorrow. Move your feet, get engaged at both ends, lets see some aggression

Try not to freak out too much. Yeah, they played a bad game tonight and they’ll play more bad games this season. No team plays great for 82 games. Tampa lost today to Ottawa and have the exact same record at 2-2-1. You really think that team is freaking out? This dangerous contender Vegas? They have 1 more point than we currently do. Win tomorrow and it’s a successful 2-1 road trip. I feel like people are extra edgy because the Oilers are 5-0. I can guarantee you they are not as good as their record dictates and we are not as bad as ours. We’ve played 6% of the season. Are these 5 games the true indicator of the team or the 82 from last year? We started last season 5-5-1 and finished with 107 points. Just learn from this game and move on.

The more I think about it. We’re really not that deep of a team. We have an elite top 4 and then after that the drop off is quite substantial. I’m not convinced that most of our 3rd and 4th lines could crack some other teams rosters.
