Not sure why Smoak isn’t pinch hitting here.

I don't think so, I think it's just his 3rd year of arbitration. After that he's a UFA.

My guess is because wins don't matter right now.
Smoak is a UFA and Drury is possibly going to be around for a few years and they need the younger players to experience all sorts of different situations.

I’m kind of hoping they keep Smoak if they aren’t considering converting Vlad to 1st base at some point. He’s grown on me over the years.

Yeah, I'm back and forth on it.
I'm wondering if they didn't keep Smoak around to mentor Tellez down the stretch here, as Smoak used to struggle mightily early in his career as well.
I'm not a big Tellez fan, but he's still pretty young and who knows, maybe he can improve his BB%, lower his K% and improve defensively as well.
I had pretty much written Teo off last time he went back to AAA, and he's actually renewed my hope a little bit since coming back.
You never know with these young guys. The Jays look like they already have a couple super stars in the making. Surround those guys with a bunch of 1-3 WAR players and suddenly you have something.

Not sure why, but I just don’t think Tellez has what it takes. 1st base is generally a high offensive production position and I just don’t see it with him. Smoak
Drove us nuts chasing breaking balls but you could always see something was there even if his Texas and Seattle days.

Smoak is pretty good defensively, can hit 20 home runs, takes his walks pretty consistently and will likely come very cheap. I take him over Tellez who can probably hit 20 home runs, strikes out a lot, and plays not very good defense.

Went to the Canadians game today and watched a guy pitching for them named Luis Quinones who has pretty crazy numbers: 43 Ks over 28 IP a 1.29 ERA and a WHIP of 0.89.

Dude, you've posted many times from Flames and Stamps games to speak to something you don't like at the game. Are you calling yourself a loser?

Of all live sporting events, isn’t an MLB game the one with the most time available to post? I’m not understanding why the notion is totally unbelievable.

I think he just got embarrassed that he accused Resolute of never being at a game in Seattle when he was literally at the game and lashed out.

Embarrassed about what? No one has been to Seattle the last few years and can come away from there thinking there isn’t some element of truth to what Ken Jennings said. The locals will flat out tell you it used to be all fun but has taken a pretty dark turn over the past 4-5 years. I’m assuming it’s better this year given the team sucking and lack of expectation (probably less of the bandwagon coming along). The last time I was there was in 2017 and it was flat out embarrassing and I’m quite a boozer myself.
And as far as posing from Stamps or Flames, guilty as charged if the game sucks. If I flew all the way to another city to see a game I sure as #### wouldn’t be spending my time at the game on here arguing about someone about the behaviour of Jays fans.

Ha, so you also post from sports events but Resolute is a loser because you do it locally and he does it on the road? Do you realize how absurd this is?
Especially considering it likely took Res like 10 seconds to read your post and respond, and he was likely to check the Blue Jays thread of all threads as he's at a Jays game?

Anyways, I'm wondering when Montoyo will move Bichette out of the leadoff spot and put him in the two spot behind Vlad. And move Tellez down the order out of the 4 spot. I think a Biggio-Bichette-Vlad-Gurriel Jr might spark a bit more offence.

Jays desperately need a leadoff hitter. I like Biggio better in the 5 spot. Here’s to hoping that Alford finally breaks out or Devon Travis decides to not get hurt next year.
