Bus station skanks do not represent the crosssection of the women in society.

To bad the talent sucked that time
If you've got any girl-friends who can go with you, I'd give yoga another shot. As long as it looks like you're there for any reason other than 'creepin, its an amazing place to meet girls.

As for the talent issue, stay away from yoga classes offered out of community centers and regular gyms. Go to a real, dedicated yoga studio. Guaranteed you won't be dissapointed in the quality.

If the pool situation is correct, thats a tough one. When exactly would he approach. I would tend to shift my attendee schedule to attempt to catch her when she is leaving work. The other thing you could do is strike up a conversation with her - give the ole bs line of you just got an extra free ticket to something, movie, concert, FLAMES GAME (hint hint) and ask her if she wanted to go.

The approach would still be difficult, she is likely sitting in one of those high lifeguard esque chairs so already she is in a position of authority when you ask. Plus she has an easy out if she isnt interested and could fake ignoring you by looking like she is actually paying attention.

Tough man, very tough.

Another great place to meet girls - pottery classes (although any art types classes I'm sure are also good). My friend is a pottery instructor at a studio in Victoria and had many cruel stories about the uber hot women that would frequent his classess.... I say cruel as he was married 2 years prior....

HAHA, I have this mental image of some poor guy wandering up to some huge chair, with some model on it and him being ignored and looking so small and defeated by this giant imposing chair.

Quite the opposite situation. I've had long normal conversations. I've sat around talking for 15 - 20 minutes before, it'll be a breeze, and nothing that requires preperation or being ready for the worst. I was just curious about the work issue.. Heh, funny how threads just take on a complete life of their own. One person says one thing and the topic slowly evolves from all the other replies. I guess I could have worded the question better.. but that would have been boring.

Anyway, again, good responses all around haha, made for a entertaing 24 hours.

This thread is hilarious... nice addition of the poll.

I think some people are even more nervous about it than Wookie is From your posts you seem to be confident, which is a good thing... but what do I know its been years since I've asked out a girl.

Bonus marks for using the term crosssection while discussing dating techniques.

And the only good thing I've ever gotten out of a yoga class is walking by an open door and seeing 30 girls wearing naps.

maybe you should start out with asking waitresses out, and get used to the successes and failures of the whole thing first.
Then once you have that under your belt, you;ll be able to ask this girl out.

Ummm.. I think you missed what I was getting at.

I don't want to ask out waitresses, I was just using them as an example, when referring to hitting on someone at their place of employment. I figured most people would assume a waitress. Whereas I've made that (I guess I'd wave it maybe), a no no since waitresses are generally deceiving and just want your money.

Can we organise a CP date jihad? Maybe get a bunch of us to fake drown in the pool, Wookie saves us, and then on the way to the car after her shift a bunch of cpers attack the girl, and once again Wookie jumps in to save the day by scissor kicking everybody.
how about a bunch of cpers attack me, and then he comes to my aide while she is watching? he can be the sweet guy who helped out the drooler in the chair?
