Are you insinuating that all of the statues are a lie?
Besides, he was also a Prince for 30 years living a life of extreme excess.

The fat "Buddha", actually not Buddah at all. He was a Chinese monk named "Budai", who revealed himself to be an incarnation of the future Buddha, who hasn't actually arrived yet.
The skinny prince is the Buddha.
I had to look this up.

I don't think I could stand being around a 20 year old all the time. 30 dating a 15 year old? No. Add 7 years to either of those and it gets into the comfortable range. It has nothing to do with jealousy.

Yup, this is probably a lot more accurate:
Thoguh those ones don't sell well, so I guess they go for more natural.

Yeah....
Go to a bar and 25 year olds are hopeless idiots. They've just gotten out of University and they have that wide-eyed optimism that the World is their Oyster!
"Oh sweet, Summer Child...let me tell you about the unending string of pain, misery and suffering that will be your life for the next 10 years. All those great things? They're gone. Forget them. They may as well never have existed, they merely presented you with the illusion of hope."

I basically break my younger step sisters with reality every time they are around. It's become a sport! Also the reason why I couldn't imagine dating someone their age.

Well I never thought we'd have a discussion of Buddhism in this thread, but here goes. The first image you posted is the emaciated buddha. He tried to virtually starve and deny himself things in his quest for enlightenment. He was nursed back to health and realized that was foolish. Then he opts for the "middle path" which is likely what you were posting in the second image that won't work for me. It's that statue that's a rendition of the "historical Buddha" and looks fairly average.
Statues of the Buddha are interesting because there weren't any any the Romans made their way east. At that time they had statues of Apollo, and basically the initial statues of the Buddha look very similar as a result.
Anyway...dad bods and fitness and stuff.

Ok fine. Not the body of a god, but the body of a many who is achieving unlightenment.

Ah, crud, forgot to check if the images worked. Ya, that was it. Been awhile since I read the story of Buddha. Point being, fat Buddha is not Buddha.

I don't know about all that other stuff, but I was pretty stoked my car insurance went down when I turned 25, and that was good enough for me.

Unlightenment sounds like a wicked pejorative for people who get into crystal / energy healing.

I was going to say that it sounds like a kickass slogan for an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet.

All that and a full beautiful head of hair? You must use some sort of anti-poontang spray. What a stud

I for one am thoroughly disappointed at the lack of portly deities.
We need Religions with positive body images.

Assuming you're not talking about your own, this is probably the most disturbing joke I've ever read.

Own it, be funny, and it doesn't matter what your body is like.
Simultaneously if you believe there to be some kind of standard for what's acceptable, then that will prove to be true in your experience merely because that's your mindset and belief.
Some of the coolest, most fun to be around guys I know probably have larger breasts than most of the women they cross paths with. Doesn't deter them from being awesome and holding plenty of conversations with said women though. I suppose the key is that they just don't care.
