Yup remember contracts awarded to the team with the highest guaranteed dollar offer calculated by term x $ x ahl percent
One way deals means the latter is 100%

Yes, as long as someone doesn't offer them a 1-way contract. Its the formula that determines the winner

Just so I'm clear, we need CPHL cap room to sign guys from this group even if they will have 2-way deals and be immediately waived for AHL?

Example: Sharks have no cap space (because the $1mill is tied to Howden who is above threshold). However, I still need guys to fill out my AHL. But I can't bid?

The next and final batch will be open to all remaining players but you won’t need cap space
But for this round you do

I've done a vlookup of the UFAs in this list with their ratings, and it seems unlikely that some of them are UFAs given their ratings (not talking retired players).

What is the best way to tell whether or not they are truly UFAs?

Use the roster link and search their last name to see if there is a duplicate player already on a team
