Not so sure Curtis is dead.
The medics are right there, and the show focused on Jack's jolting state of mind instead of Curtis...or course, didn't look good for him, but....

I've watched seasons 3,4,5 and I would have to say this is the best start. Some questions I have are: Did Fayed die in the explosion? Is cutis still alive? and is Assad really innocent? I have seen this before on 24 where a character is innocent to begin with and then they are the main bad guy behind it all.

Was he right in shooting Curtis?
Did anyone ever really like Curtis?

He never really grew on me like some of the other characters did.

One guy that really did was Mason, I was sad to see him go, he was a pain in the first one, then grew on you throughout the second.

 Same with Edger

If I had to guess the way it will go, I'd say Curtis is done.

It makes for more of a storyline to see how Jack handles it.

The conflict of killing a good friend to save the life of a terrorist who can help save hundreds of thousands made for one of the most dramatic moments I've ever seen on TV.

Just unreal.

			Wow.
So everything that they've prevented from doing in the first 5 seasons happened in 4 hours? Those writers sure know how to touch a nerve.

This is why 24's the best show on TV, IMO.

Not a huge 24 expert but there was no silent clock? Does that normally mean a major character died?

Did Fayed die in the explosion? Geez...good question. I don't remember them showing him in those last couple scenes. Maybe he got out of there? Would he have been able to get far enough away in that 20 minute span though?

Curtis has gotta be dead. Got shot in the throat. Ya never know though. Cant conclude that hes dead for sure, but odds dont look so good. This episode was insane, did not expect the bomb to go off.

I dont think the shot was fatal to Curtis. I bet he's alive and well in the next few shows.

I think in the scenes from next week, there is a clip of Fayed but not sure.

Thankfully, I don't have to watch the Global feed. They cut out the preview of next week, to remind you that the news starts in 2 minutes. If you watch a US feed, you see a preview of next week. Fayed is still alive, he got out around the :45 minute mark I think, not long after the guy delivered the package.

I think Curtis will be back, and exact revenge on Fayed...or have his tough decision to make having Jack in a similar situation. BUt by the time he comes back, there will be so many more twists, we'll have half forgotten him.

Did anyone think that random guy was going to stop the bomber from detonating it...it looks like he took a step towards him at the end.

I could seriously take an entire class discussing this kind of thing. If they can have a class on Led Zepplin they can have a class on 24...

In hindsight I wish Curtis shot him. The bomb still blew up and if someone beheaded any of my friends I would have pulled the trigger.

Although this 'peace' that could result may save more lives... so its more complicated than that.

This season is epic already... Can't wait to see what's going to happen. Less political BS more action!

			Wow......Curtis is dead.
It is the 24 thing to do. If Tony can die anyone can. Sad to see Curtis go. I was surprised that he did not get the silent clock like Mason, Chapelle, and Edgar.

What a start to this season though. Just unreal.

Curtis is 100% dead in my eyes. Fayed got out about 15 minutes before the detonation...but wouldn't that still kill him because of the radiation? I just can't beleive a nuke went off in LA....well Vallencia. Just unreal, my jaw dropped and I was in shock when I saw that.
And I think Edgar, Chapelle and Mason were all fairly dramatic deaths...whereas Tony is just killed in action, as was Curtis and hell so was Palmer last season.

I can see Assad being a bad guy, I think that will come out in time. And it seems all to obvious that the President's one advisor is being portrayed as the bad guy...I wonder if he will be a pain in the ass all season?

Also will be interesting to see who the VP is. Odd selection of the inner circle that Wayne Palmer has had to this point.
Be interesting to see how they deal with nuclear fallout from such a blast. You'd think there'd be mass panic in LA, clogging up telecommuncation lines streets as people flee, even if they are well out of the fallout zone.

I bet we see a SW wind blowing a lot of the fallout into the middle of an unpopulated area, not south towards Greater LA, but still...

Hilarious, I found this on another site. Here are the coordinates that Fayed gave CTU for where Assad was. It was W118,21'40 and N33,58'10, or third from the right.http://i13.tinypic.com/2wf21z5.jpg
That is Assads house!!!
