I remember Stralman playing a preseason game but that’s it. Thought he looked really good and would have complimented Bouwmeester or Regher really well.
What did Hull and St. Louis do as a Flame to make them dislikable?
I read the exercise as the players you dislike who were Flames, not necessarily who you disliked while they were Flames. St. Louis is obvious to me. He scored the crap interference/trip goal in game 6 of the cup run to break our hearts. Will dislike him for that. Hull, I just think he turned into an ass. Dislike him, and he was a Flame. No different than Bertuzzi. I dislike him for what he did years before he was a Flame.

He’s carved out a shockingly solid career
My "Faves" list was entirely Flames players who did little or nothing in Calgary, but then went on to fame and success elsewhere.
If anything, Strahlman should be at the top of that list.

10. Stajan (really, just that one penalty shot...plus the goal in game 6 against the Canucks)
There are roughly a billion defensemen from the 2007-2015 Flames who could have made my dislike list. I think I've seen all of them mentioned so far. Shane O'Brien is another really good one.

There is a disturbing lack of "Chris Clark" on these lists.
That dude was heart and soul like Yelle.
Two absolute beauties from a different era of hockey.
Another name to go along with the "Flames with potential that never panned out but were fun to cheer for" with Lombardi and Donovan was Jamie Lundmark. All serviceable but damn that guy had sick hands but couldn't quite put it all together.

Shouldn't matter, what Gordie was to the Wings, Lanny was to the Flames,Lanny,Kent and Pepper built the fan base of this team he's not only one of the best Flames ever, he's one of the best people you could ever meet and I know I'm not alone in saying this.
Short story on him.

I hear you and believe he is deserving of his stature in the community and the hockey world. But I understand why he’s not on some lists of “favorite” players. He’s on mine of course.
I think Babe Ruth is the greatest ball player of all time but I couldn’t imagine calling him one of my favorite players.
