Tough to say. There are quite a few Vacant spots in South-centre right now.
My guess is will go in where the Gymboree was near the Food Court, next to Fossil. It will have the highest foot traffic of available spots.

Not a big fan of the name change. Hopefully it is semi-temporary and gets a facelift/re-design with the new arena. A new location in Southcentre is welcome, though.

Sad to see south centre in such terrible shape, lots of vacancies last time I walked through. Was the go to mall when I was in my adolescence, thanks mainly to Laser Illusions! How many recall that place?

I was under the understanding that Sportscheck had an agreement with the mall that other sports retailers like the Flames were not allowed. Guess things have changed.

I like Southcentre (Well, as much as I could like a mall, which isn't much), especially after those renos they did 10 or so years ago
Never liked the FanAttic name but like this one even less. Like someone suggested though it could be temporary then a re-brand with the new arena

I don’t really care what the team store name is, I’m just excited to not have to drive to the Saddledome if I need to go there. Most sports team stores are just “Team Name Team Store” anyways.

That can't be true, Jersey City has been in Southcentre longer than Sport Chek has. Foot Locker also.
Sporting Life has had a store there for a few years too and it's more direct competition for Sport Chek than the Flames store will be.

Its upstairs sort of near the foodcourt, I saw some staff setting up the Flames jerseys in there. Hopefully it does well but Southcenter has a huge turnover lately and several spots in the foodcourt are empty right now

I always wondered why they never opened up a standalone store somewhere with some foot traffic like 17th Avenue etc.
It's my understanding that all retail sales from the team's stores are all kept in house as revenue, meanwhile other retail stores etc end up being an even split among all the teams.
I think this is a good first step and hopefully some CP and Flames fan's show the support.
