There's still going to be a huge fight over this. People are talking about pausing the Green Line and looking for cost savings ($60m) and at the same time funding a portion of the arena. It's hardly a done deal.

Not being a resident of Calgary, the cost doesn't affect me much, so it will be nice to have this ugly negotiation in the rear view mirror and enjoy a beautiful new arena mostly on TV.
Hopefully, you taxpayers get a fair shake.

If the cost of this combined with the cost to fix the old Olympic facilities is close to what the city portion of the 2026 games would have been I'll be a bit disappointed.

So this city is facing a funding crisis due to the high number of vacancies in the commercial sector, is trying to pause the development of a new transit line, is panicking on how to provide relief to small businesses, yet it has money to put towards a new arena?
Doesn't pass the smell test to me.

That looks like dog ####! The building will be in a historial area so I would like to see a combination of red brick and glass for a timeless look.
