^ so no talking dragon? Or music? Also doesn’t really look like she is going undercover as a guy or maybe I missed that.
Mulan is an underrated movie IMO so I’m excited to see this one.
Thats probably a quagmire of sexual appropriation that our society is ill-at-ease and poorly equipped to tackle at this critical and fragile juncture especially after the the discomfort engendered by the critically acclaimed Blockbuster, 'She's The Man.'

I mean, the whole premise of the movie is her going undercover as a guy. I imagine that fight scene shown was when she gets ‘revealed’ to actually be a woman. Loses her disguise or whatever (you can see her at points in the trailer with a helmet and Armor on looking rather boy-ish)
Yeah I remember really loving Mulan as a kid, but I haven't seen it in a long time.
I would imagine the dragon and music will both be prevalent, as will the main undercover storyline. Looks like that trailer footage was mostly from a climactic battles scene likely near the end.
Doesn't look like there's a role for Mushu the dragon on IMDB. Maybe they cut it, or possibly keeping tight lips on casting? If there is a dragon I wonder who would voice it. It's not like Eddie Murphy is gone, so there's no reason he can't do it again. Or maybe they get someone more current with a similar energy like Kevin Hart, Keegan-Michael Key or even Jordan Peele.

Guess not:

According to The DisInsider, Mushu, a character that was voiced by actor Eddie Murphy in the original Disney animated film, will be replaced by a Phoenix in the live-action remake. That isn't the only change the site is reporting, however, as it goes on to say the movie will only use the original music as instrumentals, instead of having the characters sing the songs.

I was never a fan of Mulan feeling it was a prime example of a everything wrong with Disney movies having an annoying animal side kick and an unnecessary tacked on love interest.
The new trailer looks great though. I like the idea of an action adventure or war epic although I’m not sure what demographic they are going for.

This story is based off the legend Hua Mulan, a story that originated 1500 years old ago. Numerous different versions have been told. So Disney can be expected to have some changes, like a wisecracking dragon sidekick in its cartoon, but to remove the central plot point of a daughter taking her father's spot disguising herself as a son would be impossible.
Hmm interesting. I like myself a good prequel. Like myself some Ralph Fiennes. The recruit doesn't seem to have the charisma that Egerton has, but he doesn't say much in that trailer.
Trailer for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot!!! It is the Red Band trailer, so NSFW
This looks so good! I love that Affleck has a cameo I hope they rekindle their friendship. It never sat right with me that while Affleck was Batman he and Smith weren't talking.
I see Val Kilmer is good enough for the Jay and Silent Bob movie but not for the new Top Gun movie. Or IS he? Anyone know if he makes a cameo in Maverick?
