Big day for Summerside, PEI. As per this piece, Flames have also signed 26-year-old AHL tough guy Alex Gallant to a minor league deal. The LW had over 500 PIM in 141 games over his last four years in the AHL.

Makes more sense as an AHL deal. Why waste a contract spot on someone who doesn’t really have a chance to play for the big club right now
