Good for them. It would have sucked for their fans after losing out on Tavares and Panarin.. to then lose out on Lee.

I don't think that this deal has any relavance for the Tkachuk deal.

Sounds like a pretty okay deal though. He is better than Hayes.

Did the offer sheet take MTL out of the running for Lee? I read they were pursuing him hard and now they won’t have either.

my guess it's the opposite... they took the chance on the offer sheet once Lee informed them he'd stay with NYI

I think we are hitting the point when the remaining players may have to settle with less than anticipated contracts.

Isles were chasing Panarin. Cap space wasn't there until he chose today.
