Sounds like Knight is the best goalie to risk taking in the 1st for quite a while.
Loubardias was saying he thinks Knight is farther along than John Gibson was at this point in their developments.

Systems defense was a problem, which is why Boughner is no longer with the team, but the goalies were very inconsistent last year.
Luongo is going to retire sometime soon, and Reimer just isn't the answer.
Knight available now for the Panthers. I wonder if they take him. Drafting goalies in the first round is always a risk.

If I were GM I’d never draft a goalie ever. Sign em as free agents and trade those draft spots for ones who’ve shown some potential further along in their pro years. Have a revolving door of cheap acquisitions until you find the next Kipper. Think of all of the picks we’ve wasted on goalies.
