If say Daenerys was to be assassinated what would come of her dragon? Would he just go rogue and destroy everything in it's path or just take off and do his own thing in a secluded place?

Interesting to read military strategists and historians pretty much lining up to suggest Daenerys' sacking of Kings Landing not only sound military strategy, but was reasonably common practice, historically. They just lacked Dragons as WMDs.
So much for the mad queen.

It's still happening!! Grey Worm will talk to Dany about Jon trying to withdraw and she will try to light him up. He'll be unscathed and his true lineage will be revealed in conjunction with all the letters that were sent by Varys.

I'm hoping she'll try to get Drogon to light Jon up, and the dragon will refuse

A quote for Season 4 (I think) came into my head a few times:
Varys said 'Littlefinger would burn the realm if he could be the king of the ashes.'
I feel like this was Dany's intentions, too. Rule on, Mad Queen. These ashes are all yours.

I think we're going to have the Darth Vader/Emperor moment:
Dany's about to execute Sansa or Arya or Tyrion. Jon looks back and forth, back and forth, and then stabs her. He then has her dying on his knee, apologizes with tears in his eyes, and she realizes in her dying moments that he was right to do it and peace comes over her as she looks up at him.
Then everyone vomits.

I thought Dany's descent into madness was handled pretty well, she's watched 2 of her dragons die, half her army die, she abandoned her status as the great queen of the east to be in westeros where everyone seems to look past her. She made an incredible achievement and had her final goal in sight, but was losing the ability to actually grasp it.
She knew she was in a hopeless situation, where her power would only continue to diminish, so she did what she always does, she changed the rules so she would win.
I thought it was a perfect way to climax the series and did a great job summing up what the show is all about.
e: The only thing that bothered me was how quickly the ballistas went from most dangerous weapon in the history of the world to useless trash.

I highly doubt we see Sansa again, unless it's in an epilogue type scene. The preview shows Danny at King's landing. I'd be supremely disappointed if they try to shoehorn in a trip back up north.

At the end of the day, when Daeny's is talking to Theon and her sister. She says something that I think was key and stuck in my head.
Both of our fathers were madmen, we have a responsibility to make the world a better place.
Its that kind of single minded goal and her concept that she is a person of destiny. Raising dragons taking back the 7 kingdoms that makes it easy for her to burn things if she doesn't get her way.

Sigh. This is again one of those explanations that sound rational, but don't actually make sense in context of the series.
First of all, she didn't sack the city. She destroyed it, callously killing many of her own men in the process, in a situation where troop loyalty is just about to become a major issue.
Second, the one thing Daenarys specifically needs is something to symbolically legitimize herself as the rightful ruler. She just destroyed what the whole war was about, and the one thing she needed... And she needs it more than anyone else. Jon Snow could (theoretically) rule from anywhere, because he's seen as being from Westerös, and same goes for every other wannabe king from here on out. Daenarys has a problem there, because she's an outsider. She needed that throne more than anyone.
But more importantly, that "strategic" logic makes no sense to her character. She's not much of a strategic thinker, so it's pretty laughable go excuse it as something she did because "strategy".
Also, speaking from a historical perspective I don't even have to check your sources to call BS that historians would be in any way "lining up" to support the idea.
Yes, cities were often sacked and sometimes burned that's true.
But those who wanted to rule the Roman empire did not burn Rome. (No, not even Nero, and even if you buy that he did, you're also buying into the idea that he was mad, so...) Those who wanted to rule England did not burn London.
Her explicitly stated personal goal has long been to sit on that throne. At the moment of victory, she ruined her chance to get what she was fighting for.
I mean, destroying the throne is a move that would actually have made sense for Cersei.

Davos at +5000 is decent odds. I imagine if the favorite wins everyone will be pissed, which is exactly why it'll happen.

Plenty of ways to have one of the most important characters in the final episode. Obviously some Winterfell scenes are the easiest, perhaps Jon traveling back to there towards the end. It's easy to show the passage of time without "time travel". Some sort of epilogue to end it would be nice, but no idea how this thing ends.

I just don't see how she becomes part of the final battle, or whatever. The only way really would be to have Danny fly up, nuke her, and fly back. Or another odd time jump, but I don't see the motivation for anyone to leave Kings Landing at this point before it is all settled and decided, and based on the preview I just don't see Sansa being involved in the war part.

I think Tyrion will take the throne, and give the North to Sansa (free).

This is a really good short video(4 min) of several scenes that foreshadowed Danny's turn. Her solution to most things has been to burn the problem away. I had totally forgotten about that dream sequence in the ruined Red Keep at the end, too. Worth a watch for those who think it was out of character for her.

Also keep in mind that Dany is really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really inbred.
