I think the Flames will be fine if our top line can do some damage on the road, but this is a bizarre assurance to make. "Don't worry, look at how this other team that was supposed to be good is in serious trouble, so...".

We could also be up 3-1 after the Colorado trip.
We could be tied 2-2 after the Colorado trip.
I think those are the possibilities.

I don’t understand this post. There’s some sarcasm in there somewhere I think??

Pretty entertaining game. Far cry from game one.
Flames may have been dominated but the chances they had were very dangerous.

I honestly think that Tampa can easily whip off four straight against Columbus and Tampa's in a way worse position than the Flames right now.
One line doesn't often win a 7 game series.
We can say "But Smith is in God mode right now" all we want. You know what? Grubauer's playing lights out as well. It's the playoffs, every team should be getting that level goaltending.
Regular season and playoffs the Flames are 4-0-2 against Colorado.
Let's take a chill pill and head to Denver.

True. But a team with no top line is not making the second round either. We don't have a top line.

out of context as usual
was discussing the comments "this looks like a 2 vs. 3 match up" "Flames don't look like a higher seed" ect.
teams aren't that far apart, just saying it's reality. What series is a top seed dominating?

I think it's a little more worrying than just a tied series. Game one easily could have gone the other way and tonight, by all rights, should have been a blowout.
Our role players are doing their part and more. We need our stars to bring it in game three. Gaudreau and Lindholm were good in game one, but not tonight. Monahan, even though he scored tonight, has been pretty passive so far.
Hopefully we snap out of it and just take the next three.

Flames have a top line, they scored the second goal. They need to be better tho, but c’mon

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong, and nobody wants that.

I'll be pretty damn happy to (hopefully) see the back of Brodie this off-season in a trade.

Neal has played more than Mangiapane, Ryan, Frolik, and Bennett tonight, and only 3 mins less than Gaudreau. I don’t understand this.
this is very strange...

Pandering to the veteran all season long and things haven’t changed. I still don’t understand the lovefest with this guy. Everyone defends Neal and give him the benefit of the doubt yet ripped Brouwer to shreds. Don’t get it one bit. Neal’s been worse than Brouwer ever was and his so called playoff experience and hasn’t done squat for him.
