They were by far the better team in game 1, especially in the 2nd and 3rd periods. Tonight's loss stings, but they'll be fine. As long as they learn a lesson from tonight and bring their A game going forward, I still think they'll win this in 5 or 6.

It may feel like the Avs have all this momentum heading back home but momentum carrying over from game to game is a big farce. It doesn’t happen.
Flames need to weather an early storm on Monday and then dictate things to gain in game momentum which is obviously a thing.

Flames will be fine. This was never gonna be a sweep.

Don’t want a sweep anyways. Can’t be sitting around waiting for SJ/LV to finish up a 7 gamer.

The NHL is a a really good league. You make the the playoffs... you have a chance.

You need to check out Flames road record.

Hint: Its really f’n good.

One of the reasons they won the Western Conference.

Oh ye of little faith.

Neal has played more than Mangiapane, Ryan, Frolik, and Bennett tonight, and only 3 mins less than Gaudreau. I don’t understand this.

 this is very strange...

True. We can be down 3-1 after the Colorado trip.

For anyone counting on anyone on the Avs slowing down over the series, really?
Not going to happen. Their first line and Grubauer have been carrying them most of the season and Grubauer has since February.

Lots more effort tonight and the Flames were backing up and not playing their style of game that won 50 games this season.

Brodie was abysmal out there and handled the puck like a grenade. Was glad to see Peters dropped him down the d pairings, but don't like him getting all the power play time either.

Would like to see Valimaki in Monday and get the top line skating and being more patient letting the play develop in the offensive zone.

Going to Monday's game and expect a much better effort.

How on earth does a team lose one game in overtime and it means the end is nigh?
I honestly think that Tampa can easily whip off four straight against Columbus and Tampa's in a way worse position than the Flames right now.

One line doesn't often win a 7 game series.

We can say "But Smith is in God mode right now" all we want. You know what? Grubauer's playing lights out as well. It's the playoffs, every team should be getting that level goaltending.

Regular season and playoffs the Flames are 4-0-2 against Colorado.

Let's take a chill pill and head to Denver.

 Go Flames Go

I never really expect a team to sweep a series. Still, it's funny how much it stings when a loss actually happens.

The Flames were 24-15-2 away from Scotiabank Saddledome this year, including a win over Colorado at Pepsi Centre.

Flames played iffy hockey in both games. 1-1 is not a bad result. Wake the f up, win at least one in Denver, and go from there.
 I'm concerned, but not worried.

PS McKinnon is such a stud. What a player wow.
