Pretty solid game from top to bottom. Good team effort.
Backs - 23mins, Tkachuk - 20mins and Frolik - 18mins. Definitely a function of the Aves top line getting a lot of ice. Outside of a few chances, 3M line shutdown Mackinnon and co. No other line on that team was consistently effective at all. Will be interesting to see how the Aves use last change to get their top guys away from the 3M line in Denver- expecting top line against top line.
With the matchup's going on, it's hard to distribute ice time. With that said, I would like to see Bennett and Neal get more than 8mins of 5v5.
Is it just me, or is EVERY Flames fan wearing a Flames jersey?? Impressive.

I watched the first period during my lunch break at work, but then had another 5 hours before I got home to watch the rest.
That was fun!!
- Mike Smith was awesome. He made all the saves he should have made and hearing the "Smitty" chant was great. That crow tastes so good.
- The 4th line played hard and creates offense.
- Special teams were outstanding.
- They played physical and were relentless on the puck.

It’s the playoffs. Can’t get too high, and can’t get too low. Smith had a great game against a team he has dominated his whole career. The Flames played an outstanding game and kept the Avs at bay most of the night. Enjoy the first win, but remember there are three more needed to win this series. Nothing has been accomplished yet. Go Flames Go.
